Who We Are and How We Work.

At Bidwill Uniting, we consider ourselves a church-without-walls. We aim to express church as something that is embedded within the local community. We have a small team of staff and volunteers who work from a community development perspective with the local residents of Bidwill on a variety of activities.

Our activities, projects and programs aim to:

  • Enhance the lives of the people living in Bidwill and Mt Druitt;
  • Support people to take action to move towards their dreams and aspirations; and
  • Encourage people to engage with the world around them, and explore ideas, spirituality and faith.

We use a strengths based approach to working with people, which means that we are committed to helping people and communities to see their own unique value, strengths and experience. We support people to develop their strengths in order to lead autonomous, rich and full lives that benefit themselves, their families and their community as a whole.

We also have a strong emphasis on collaboration with other agencies and services in order to work more effectively for the good of the local community. For a list of other groups that we work with, please click here.

If you are interested in working with us, please check out our “Get Involved” page for more information about the opportunities available.
