The 2770 Collective:
Together in 2770
We are part of a collective across Mt Druitt called “Together in 2770”. The underlying aim of the 2770 Collective is that all children in the 2770 postcode start school well. We tackle this together through holistically working with children, their families, schools, communities, agencies and systems that they are affected by.
The 2770 Collective works together through suburb-based meetings, action groups, events, programs and more.
- We are place-based
- We are collaborative
- We are holistic
- We are relationship-based
- We are community-led
- We are strengths-based
- We use an ecological framework
We work with other members of the collective on a variety of advocacy issues to seek fairer systems, infrastructure and resource allocation for the 2770 postcode. Some of the issues that the 2770 Collective is currently working on are:
- Transport
- Employment
- Policing and community safety
- Housing
- Health place-based work
We work with other members of the collective to deliver programs such as the After School Program for primary aged children, and Busy Bees for under-fives and their parents and carers.
We work with the collective to facilitate Together in Bidwill - a monthly action focused meeting bringing together agencies and residents to plan and create change.
Our Collective Partners
The Hive
Operating on Darug land, in the heart of Mt Druitt, The Hive is the backbone organisation of a place-based, collective impact initiative that works to ensure every child has the best possible start in life. The Hive’s holistic and inclusive approach is centered around community voice and aspirations. It recognises the impact that families, communities, Governments and service systems have on the well being of children.
HIPPY Australia
The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) is a home-based school readiness and parenting program available to families in the 2770 postcode and surrounding suburbs. We acknowledge that parents are their child’s first teacher and that the home is the child’s first classroom.
HIPPY provides structured learning activities through a curriculum of books that are delivered each fortnight through home visits. We also host local parent gatherings with children’s activities and guest speakers. HIPPY works closely with other organisations in Mount Druitt to connect families to local services and support.

Salvation Army
We understand that there are many pressures that families and individuals face day to day, and often those pressures can be a barrier to people flourishing. At the Salvos, our hope is that all people can flourish. In support of that we offer assistance in the form of emergency relief, financial counselling (including budgeting, advocacy, NILS and EAPA assistance), casework, referrals to youth and AOD services and community engagement activities.
Baptist Care Hopestreet
BaptistCare HopeStreet walks alongside and supports families where they live, working together to build a stronger community where individuals and families in Willmot and Lethbridge Park achieve their goals and thrive.
We take the time to get to know the communities we work alongside, so families can choose the support they need. We offer general case work support, employment pathways, and the coordinating and navigation of services through case management and advocacy.
Jesuit Social Services
Jesuit Social Services are a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential. We partner with community to support those most in need. We work to change policies, practices, ideas and values that perpetuate inequality, prejudice and exclusion.
